Head Coach of Remo Stars FC, Daniel Ogunmodede said he anticipated a tough match this evening due to the position, strength and quality of the players in Ibom Youth FC.
Speaking with RSFC Media, the gaffer indicated that he and his wards are now comfortable on top of the log but won’t make it get into their heads until they achieve what they want.
“We expected a tough match, they are good side because they were third on the table before this game, they are a strong and matured side with strength but in all we got our three points. This is football, sometimes you get it late and sometimes you get it early but today we got it early.”
“My players are young chaps, they will interpret instructions easily, the best way to learn is to listen, which they always do. Don’t forget these players grew from the rank of the team (U13, U5, U17, U19) and Akinsanmiro Ebenezer gained promotion from the academy too, these players know the tradition of the team and that’s why I take responsible for some errors committed by my players.”
“We feel comfortable on the top of the league, and we are not ready to relax, we are not ready to keep our heads down. We are not yet there, we are just in the mid-way and what we are banking on is that the end will justify the means.” Ogunmodede.
