The Sky Blue Stars return to Remo Stars Stadium after they played their last home game against Holy Arrows at the Akure Township Stadium, Akure due to the judgement given by the Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee.
This is the last home game for the Sky Blue Stars this season, and they will be hopeful this fixture count in their favour to fully seal their space in the super 8 playoffs and a big chance to return to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Remo Stars returned to the top of Group B2 table after defeating Abia Comets 1-0 at the Umuahia Township Stadium in Umuahia with Victor Osuagwu getting the vital game for the Sky Blue Stars.
It is worthy of note that the Stars are still unbeaten at home since the commencement of the Nigeria National League season winning all games comfortably at the Remo Stars Stadium aside from the barren draw played against the Bendel Insurance.
The Sky Blue Stars will be seeking to avenge their defeat to the solid miners earlier in the Nigeria National League season when they defeated Remo Stars 4-0 at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on the 21st of February 2021.
Meanwhile, Bayelsa United defeated Nigeria Professional Football League side, Nasarawa United 4-3 on penalties to emerge winners of the 2021 Aiteo Cup after the match ended 2-2 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.
The Solid miners will be hopeful of making this year one of their best footballing year by ensuring they get a spot in the super 8 and also get a promotion ticket back into the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The host will keep an eye on Bayelsa United’s attacker, Emo James who is currently in form and also one of their best player this season alongside Inikurogha Okardi.
Remo Stars defenders have a lot to do in this game as they hope to stop the Solid miners from getting goals, they are good at scoring goals from the wings, and they have tall players who can convert easily for them.
