Ibrahim Yahaya gives Savannah scorpions victory, ends Remo Stars’ unbeaten record.
Ibrahim Yahaya fired the Savannah Scorpion to a 1-0 victory over the Sky Blue Stars at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.
The host got an opportunity in the 15th minute to help Rivers United return to the top of the table with 2 points ahead of Remo Stars, ending the Sky Blues Stars’ unbeaten league start.

Gombe United continued to find space upfront and it yielded positively for them in the 15th minute as Ibrahim Yahaya pounced on a thorough ball to give his side the lead.
The second half resumed and Adedayo Olamilekan stood tall to take an attempt in the early minutes of the second half but Itodo Akor saved brilliantly.
Remo Stars continued to push harder to get an equaliser as Andy Okpe took a chance from distance but it went wide.
Seun Ogunribide took a long throw, Andy Okpe flicked a header towards Dayo Ojo who took an attempt on goal but it went over the bar.
With the loss, it became the first time this season Remo Stars lost a game in eleven matches, and they host former champions, Akwa United who also played draw at home.
