As the second round of the 2021/2022 resumes in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) travel to take on Kwara United at the Kwara Sports Complex in Ilorin.
Recalled that the Sky Blue Stars defeated the harmony boys 3-0 in matchday 11 at the Remo Stars Stadiumin Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, thanks to goals from Andy Okpe, Tolulope Ojo and Seun Ogunribide.
The Sky Blue Stars are currently third on the table with 32 points from 19 games and a point ahead of Kwara United who amassed 31 point from 19 games.
It’s revenge time for the host as they still find it hard to have been defeated 3-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne in the hands of the Sky Blue Stars.
The Sky Blue Stars have boosted their front line with the signing of Sikiru Alimi and Alhameen Adegbite to complement the efforts of Andy Okpe and Ojukwu Ifegwu.
For Kwara United, they hope to turn things around to defeat Remo Stars in front of their fans as the future of their coaching staffs depend on the outcome of this encounter.
This will be the 5th time both sides will meet with them having equal win rate at each other. The harmony boys have won twice, also the Sky Blue Stars winning twice.
Remo Stars have to be careful of Junior Lokosa who has banged in two goals for the harmony boys since he returned to the NPFL, Dele Aiyenugba also available for this mouthwatering encounter.
The Sky Blue Stars players are all available but Isah Ali and Samuel Anakwe are both doubtful for Remo Stars when they meet on Sunday.
A win for the Sky Blue Stars will them move back to third position if Enugu Rangers lose their match against Lobi Stars, while Kwara United will try to win to go ahead of Remo Stars.
