After an encouraging first two games of the season in which Remo Stars have picked up maximum points, a 2-0 win at home vs El-Kanemi Warriors and a 1-0 defeat of Gombe United in the north-east of the country.
Remo Stars now host Shooting Stars on Wednesday, 25th January, 2023 in the first Southwest derby of the 2022/23 NPFL season.
The fixture at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne will be the fifth time in which Remo Stars will be playing the Oluyole Warriors in the topflight.
The sky blue stars are unbeaten against their visitors with one wins and three draws in the NPFL while they hold a record of a win and a draw in the NNL.

Coach Daniel Ogunmodede says while they’re aware of the invincible, he expects it not to play in the minds of the players.
“We are not thinking about our unbeaten run against Shooting Stars but only focused on getting the win”, the gaffer said.
Shooting Stars occupies the 7th position in Group A of the abridged 2022/23 NPFL season with two draw from two games while Remo Stars are second with maximum points from two games.
A win with two or more goals will see Remo Stars go top of Group A ahead of Bendel Insurance on goal difference who they will face in Matchday four of the NPFL on Saturday.
