On the back of contrasting results in their last games, Remo Stars make a trip to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Edo State to face off with Bendel Insurance.
While the Sky Blue Stars eased past Southwest rivals, Shooting Stars on Wednesday evening, the Promise Keepers kept to their promise to play out a 0-0 draw with the Benin Arsenals.
Last season’s Group A top two are both chasing different targets heading into this campaign, with the Benin Arsenals seeking to return to winning ways and the Sky Blue Stars are battling to go four games unbeaten for the first time this season.
Bendel Insurance have won three of their last meetings against the Sky Blue Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Edo but the visitors will push for a repeat of 2018 when Remo Stars defeated them in Benin.
In a chat with the captain of the side, Junior Nduka, he says the team is prepared to face the game as it comes, he said it won’t be an easy game but they will push themselves.
“We are prepared for this fixture as we are very aware that it won’t be an easy game but the boys are fully ready for the encounter.”
“We will try to get our second win on the road, it will help us continue to fight because we want to move a step higher from the position we finished with last season.”
